Haven Mind & Body Psychotherapy Website

Summary

This website for Haven Mind & Body Psychotherapy, is a private practice led by Dr. Maya Lin. This concept project's goal was to show how a therapist can craft a strong presence online through their website while still remaining warm and approachable, displaying their credentials, specialties, fees, and how to book with them. The work spans brand direction, copy, and a responsive marketing site built around one primary job: help someone nervous about reaching out feel safe enough to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

Services

Brand direction, copywriting, custom landing page design, responsive layout, visual design system

Challenge

Many therapists still depend on directory listings and social posts for discovery. Those channels help people find a name, but they rarely answer the practical questions that stall a first call: fees, insurance, telehealth, who you work with, and what the first session feels like.

At the same time, therapy sites often swing between two extremes: stiff, clinical pages that feel intimidating, or pretty templates that hide the details clients need to trust you. Haven was a chance to design for that middle ground, credible and human, with booking paths that feel low pressure.

Solution

We built Haven as an end-to-end concept: logo and color type system, photography direction, and a multi-section site with a single primary CTA (book a free consultation) supported by About, services, FAQ, and fees framing.

The layout prioritizes scannable specialties (anxiety and burnout, life transitions, couples and communication), transparent session logistics, and state coverage for California and Nevada. Visual design uses calm sage and teal tones, serif headlines, and rounded imagery so the practice feels grounded without looking like a generic wellness template.

Because this is spec work, the copy and visuals are fictional, but the structure mirrors what I recommend for real private practices moving off directory-only presence.
